- Distributability
- ----------------
-
- BootSelector is freely distributable software. The archive must be copied
- as a whole. Since this program is FREEWARE, I dind't include the
- sourcecode.
-
- Warranty
- --------
-
- I give no warranty for nothing. The use if this program is full on your own
- risk! The author can not be made responsible for any damage of any kind.
-
- Requirements
- ------------
-
- You need at least an Amiga running Kickstart Version 2.0. A Harddisk would
- be helpful, because I think selecting the startup-sequence from FD is
- senseless, but it will work. A Mouse, of course !
-
- Introduction
- ------------
-
- Have you ever had a VGA or Multisysnc-Monitor, and your machine was running
- in a screenmode higher than 15kHz? Have you had the problem of an opened
- screen at the time you were booting the machine? Normally you put some
- '>NIL:' to your startup-sequence and you have no opened 15kHz screen at the
- booting of your machine, the Workbench comes with your higher-than-15kHz-
- screen. But what do you do, if you want to choose you startup's? You use a
- proggy like Bootmanager from Daniel Bachmann. But all theses programs, I
- know, have the problem of opening an own screen, and you have your
- problem again, if you want to boot the original startup-sequence (which is
- the regular case).
- Since I hate this I was searching for a solution, but I could'nt find one.
- So I decidet to write a program, which is calling another Startup-sequence
- if RMB is pressed while booting the machine. After some tries I got a
- version which was able to execute a script. So I wanted to expand this
- Version for 3-Button-Mouses, but I could'nt solute this problem until now.
- Since that, I decidet to solve my problem in the simple way, I had
- programmed.
-
- The useage + installation
- -------------------------
-
- Simply rename the startup-sequence you usally boot to Startup-Sequence I.
- Write another one startup-sequence which is your alternative one (e.g.
- calling Bootmanager) and name it Startup-SequenceII.
- Put the Startup-Sequence from this archive to your S: and the file
- bootselector to your C:. After that everything should work and you can
- reboot your machine an everything should work.

- BUGS
- ----
-
- I've tested this program on my own machine an could not find any bug.
- A test on other machines was'nt possible to me, so if you find some,
- contact me under:
- wibox22@hpswifa.wifa.uni-leipzig.de
- but I think, there won't be any bugs.
- This program runs without any problem on the following machine:
- AMIGA 1200, 250MB HD, 2MB CHIP, 8MB FAST, 28MHz, Kick 3.0
-
-
- The future
- ----------
-
- Most important is supporting the other mousebuttons of tripple-button- and
- normal mouses.
- I thought about an own GUI to my program, but I don't know if I can realize
- it, because I'm new in the programmers-scene and it seems hard to me,
- understanding everything I have to do to create a systemfriendly program
-
